Job Summary:
The Professional Liability Insurance Account Executive-Account Manager title and role specifications are commensurate with experience and will evolve. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic & possess a proven track record of working well in a team setting to promote unity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will provide prompt, efficient, and high-quality service. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive Account Executive-Account Manager to manage our clients’ professional liability, cyber, and miscellaneous liability policies. As the Account Executive, you will manage a growing portfolio of renewals (approximately 25-40 per month), with the opportunity to expand your responsibilities as the department grows. This position will evolve with continuous learning, mentorship, and the potential to take on more significant roles within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Account Management: Handle renewal processes for professional, cyber, and miscellaneous liability accounts, including lawyers and accountants. Maintain the accuracy of information in EPIC.
• Renewal Coordination: Update Excel workbooks, manage renewal activities in EPIC, and process transactions like billing, commissions, and adjustments.
• Claims Support: Report claims to carriers, coordinating loss runs, follow ups & tracking in EPIC.
• Client Communication: Develop strong client relationships, address inquiries, provide renewal confirmations, and review policy proposals.
• Cross-selling: Identify opportunities for additional coverage (e.g., EPLI, cybercrime, management liability, bonds) to meet client needs.
• System Expertise: Utilize tools like EPIC, Indio, Microsoft Office, and Sayata for daily tasks, quoting cyber coverage, and managing account data.
• Renewal Book: Manage a monthly book of 25-40 renewals, which will grow as the department expands.
Position-Specific Tasks:
• Professional Liability & Miscellaneous Coverages: Coordinate renewals with carriers/insureds, update EPIC and Excel renewal worksheets, manage billing/commissions, and facilitate team training. Handle policy proposals, follow-ups, and claims.
• Lawyers AE Accounts: Manage assigned book of business, coordinate account changes and renewals, and obtain confirmations. Address client questions, facilitate policy adjustments, and handle closing/lost accounts.
• CNA Accounting Liability (Premier): Obtain renewal information, review renewal quotes, handle changes, coordinate billing with Accounting, ensure policy accuracy, manage loss control through the AICPA program & communicate with client.
• USLI Miscellaneous Liability Renewals: Handle USLI website and renewal procedures, troubleshoot issues, and offer optional coverages.
• Cyber Liability Book: Manage new business and renewals for cyber liability, marketing & using cyber platforms for quoting and EPIC for proposals. Oversee billing, underwriting issues, and policy review.
Current Duties/Support:
• Stay updated on CE, IT, and EPIC training.
• Document calls and maintain certificates of insurance in EPIC.
• Offer Tail options and discuss closing options for professional liability accounts who are closing.
• Handle marketing submissions, email processing, and day-to-day EPIC tasks.
• Mentor team members and participate in professional liability meetings.
Additional Knowledge:
• Experience with EPIC, Indio, Adobe, Microsoft Office, and Webex.
• Familiarity with CNA, AICPA programs, non-admitted surplus lines filings, applicable insurance websites.
• Strong understanding of claims-made coverage for lawyers’ programs and managing renewals across various insurance lines.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in insurance industry software and tools. (Preferably the Applied Systems Software Family.)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient with Adobe
• Current Ohio P&C License
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Insurance Knowledge: Experience with professional liability insurance, particularly in handling lawyers, accountants, and cyber liability policies.

• Problem Solving: Can troubleshoot policy and underwriting issues and assist clients with complex inquiries.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods working on a computer.
• Must be able to attend meetings, conferences, and events as assigned.
