Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time, tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provides instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level, using collaborative, instructional technology, and innovative methods
· Teaches finance courses, including corporate finance, financial systems, investments and intermediate corporate finance,
· Also teaches economics courses and general business courses, when necessary.
· Develops syllabi and coursework.
· Advises students.
· Provides assessment of students and supports College assessment needs.
· Establishes and fosters community and institutional relationships to form partnerships that will assist students with networking and job opportunities.
· Assists with the recruitment of prospective students.
· Continues expanding knowledge base with continued professional development.
· Provides general service to the College, including college and faculty committee assignments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES:
· PhD in finance or economics.
· Industry experience is preferred.
· Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment.
· A master’s degree will be considered with exceptional work experience in the field of finance.
