Purpose
The purpose of Hunger Network’s Young Professional Advisory Board (HNYP) is to create awareness, increase fundraising and steward a new generation of volunteers and philanthropists. Our Young Professional Advisory Board plays an integral role in the future of Hunger Network, by helping guide the vision and shape the future of events we host and the fundraising campaigns we run. HNYP consists of leaders throughout the community who want to work to ensure that no one goes hungry, no food goes to waste.
HNYP Roles & Responsibilities
● Participation in activities that actively promote Hunger Network in our community.
● Help promote the mission and vision of the organization
● Support development of a board that is representative of our community
● Engage your company, organization or network with Hunger Network’s fundraising objectives and events
● Attend 75% of scheduled HNYP meetings and events
● Aid in revamping and revitalizing Hunger Network’s “signature” events to improve overall fundraising revenue
● Increase engagement on social media and at signature events
● Work with HNYP and Hunger Network staff to develop a self-sustaining budget by engineering an original fundraiser with other Cleveland-area young professionals
● Participate in at least one Hunger Network signature event
● Contribute, solicit or fundraise a minimum of $500
● Attend or volunteer at at least 2 Hunger Network events
● Help define the role of HNYP and shaping the future of the organization
