The Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) is seeking a creative and data-driven Digital Marketing Manager to lead its digital marketing efforts, overseeing the college’s website, digital advertising, social media strategy, content creation, and virtual tour. As a key member of the Enrollment Marketing team, this role reports to and collaborates closely with the Vice President for Enrollment Management + Marketing while working alongside the Director of Enrollment Marketing and the Director of Internal Communications + External Relations.
This role serves as CIA’s webmaster, ensuring the college’s website is engaging, user-friendly, and accessible while leveraging analytics to improve site performance. Acting as the primary liaison with our web vendor, Thunder::Tech, the Digital Marketing Manager ensures accessibility standards are met and the site reflects the institution’s dynamic brand. Additionally, they will develop and execute CIA’s social media strategy, strengthening brand presence by creating compelling content—including photography, graphics, and short-form video—while staying ahead of emerging trends. Engaging with audiences, fostering community interaction, and collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to showcase authentic CIA stories are central to this position.
In the area of digital marketing and advertising, this role oversees paid social media campaigns, search engine marketing (SEM), display advertising, and OTT (over-the-top) media. They will work closely with external vendors and internal teams to optimize campaigns for maximum reach and effectiveness while staying informed on evolving technologies and best practices. A data-driven approach is essential, as the Digital Marketing Manager will track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across web, social media, and digital advertising to enhance engagement and optimize digital strategies.
The ideal candidate will bring proficiency in website management (WordPress CMS), basic knowledge of HTML & CSS, and an understanding of UX/UI principles. Strong experience in SEO, SEM, paid social media (Facebook Ads, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok), and Google Ads & Analytics is key. They should be adept at using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite), content creation tools, and AI-driven marketing solutions. A background in higher education marketing is preferred, along with excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills.

Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. CIA offers a benefit package including; paid time off accrual, 13 paid holidays, as well as additional time off while the college is closed during winter break. Pay Range: $36,000 – $50,000 per year
