Director of Investment Operations – Wellspring Financial Advisors

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including long-term incentive compensation. We are seeking an experienced Director of Investment Operations to join our investment team. This position offers a unique opportunity to oversee and manage day-to-day operations including portfolio administration, account setup, performance and account reconciliation, standardized reporting, and optimizing procedures driving operational excellence. As a leader within the organization, you will shape investment operations across public and private markets, provide actionable insights to client service teams, and contribute to the long-term success serving ultra-high net worth families. Responsibilities

Trading & Execution Support

o Monitor and assist with the execution of trade orders across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.).
o Ensure timely and accurate trade settlements.
o Liaise with custodians, brokers, and other parties to resolve any trade discrepancies.

Portfolio Rebalancing

o Assist in the periodic rebalancing of client portfolios to maintain alignment with investment strategies and mandates.
o Collaborate with the portfolio management team to implement rebalancing instructions, ensuring all adjustments are executed efficiently and correctly.

Client Reporting

o Prepare and review regular investment performance reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and clarity in performance attribution and portfolio analysis.
o Customize client reports based on specific needs and preferences, delivering them in a timely manner.
o Address client inquiries and provide relevant information on portfolio performance, holdings, and transactions.

Operational Administration

o Maintain accurate records of all investment transactions and portfolio details.
o Monitor and resolve issues related to account reconciliation, trade settlements, and corporate actions.
o Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., compliance, risk management, and finance) to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement

o Identify and recommend improvements in operational workflows to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
o Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the use of appropriate systems and tools to streamline operations.

Other Administrative Tasks

o Manage the documentation and filing of client account and transaction-related information.
o Assist with audits and other regulatory requirements, ensuring all investment operations are compliant with industry standards and internal policies.

Qualifications

o Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
o 7+ years of experience in investment operations or a related area, preferably within asset management, hedge funds, or financial services.
o Strong knowledge of financial instruments and portfolio management concepts.
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with portfolio management or trading platforms is a plus.
o Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
