Enterprise Technology Manager

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of Enterprise Technology Manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

ยท Provides comprehensive training and ongoing support for key data systems, including Jenzabar One, JICS, Slate, and other user management platforms.

ยท Addresses and resolves IT support requests, offering guidance on campus business applications such as ERP, LMS, Financial Aid, and other critical systems.

ยท Serves as the primary resource for training and support related to campus business systems, ensuring users are fully equipped to utilize these platforms.

ยท Collaborates with departments to understand their system needs and develop training sessions to maximize system utilization and workflow efficiency.

ยท Leads internal Jenzabar User Group meetings, fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and promoting user engagement.

ยท Conducts user orientations, ensuring new staff members are fully integrated into key systems with appropriate access and support.

ยท Provides ongoing support to resolve communication issues between ERP and LMS systems, ensuring smooth system operation.

ยท Offers training on the creation and management of LMS campus groups, portal courses, and access permissions.

ยท Generates reports for various departments, providing training on data analysis tools like Appeon Infomaker and SQL Server.

ยท Ensures best practices for data management are followed, delivering training to staff on maintaining data integrity and security.

ยท Provides technical training and support to staff on data management and system processes, ensuring smooth integration and operation.

ยท Supports decision-making by offering training on generating and interpreting data reports, as well as identifying key system trends.

ยท Coordinates with vendors and internal teams, offering guidance and managing communications to resolve system issues.

ยท Assists with backup and business continuity planning, providing training to the technology team on best practices and support processes.

ยท Performs additional training and support duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES:

 

ยท Bachelor’s degree.

ยท 3-5 years of experience in data systems administration or a related field.

ยท Familiarity with Jenzabar One, JICS, and Slate is highly preferred. Experience managing a student information system and database administration and SQL scripting experience is a plus.

ยท Experience with data management and workflow optimization in a higher education setting.

ยท Experience with enterprise-level daily system administration in test and production settings.

ยท Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

ยท Knowledge of user management and access control best practices.

ยท Strong communication skills for effectively training and supporting users.

ยท Creative, strategic, thoughtful, and has a sense of humor.

ยท Growth and โ€œdoerโ€ mindset and institutional teamwork ethic.

ยท Ability to work well as part of a team and across academic and administrative departments.
