IT Support Technician – Bessemer Management

IT Support Technician

Bessemer Management is a transportation company that provides comprehensive back-office support, management, and logistics services for several logistics/trucking companies. We have 90+ years of experience operating in multi-faceted transportation modes and are a growing organization.

We’re looking to add an additional full-time IT Support team member that is responsible for all levels of technical support for users on-site and remotely through in-person, phone, and email support.

In this role, you will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance of an IT environment made up of 100+ servers across 2 states, 350+ workstations, and a variety of enterprise-level software.

Job-Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Troubleshooting software and hardware issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile phones
  • Interacting with end users to independently resolve problems concerning system function
  • Installing/configuring/maintaining enterprise software
  • PC configuration and regular maintenance of PCs
  • Update customers regularly on ongoing trouble tickets
  • Creating/modifying documentation for new and changing processes
  • Establish, build, and maintain good working client relationships

Experience with the following technologies is a plus:

  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft IIS
  • SQL Server
  • Citrix Xenapp/XenDesktop
  • PowerShell
  • Enterprise Antivirus
  • Enterprise Spam Filters
  • Enterprise level Firewalls
  • DNS
  • Collaboration software (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
  • Switching and routing infrastructure

Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related position
  • Strong technical skills in addition to desktop and server administration experience
  • Proficiency in Windows-based operating systems and MS Office
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment where you will interact with a variety of people, including customers, terminals, co-workers, and internal departments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to recognize and appropriately respond to tone in phone and email correspondence

Work Schedule & Benefits:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (on-site in Cleveland, OH)

Physical Demands of the Position:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and reach with hands and arms to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
