Summary:
This role is responsible for Marketing products and services by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns, maintaining promotional materials inventory, planning meetings, and working with branch, purchasing, sales, and e-commerce teams to continually generate ideas to connect with and service our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand Assets & Brand Ambassadorship
- Manage Mars Electric’s brand assets which include its logo, photographs, imagery, design, and messaging.
- Order, distribute and manage inventory of Mars Electric branded apparel and accessories for associates and customers.
- Ensure all brand assets (logo, colors, photos, messaging, truck wraps, signage, etc.) are being used consistently and effectively everywhere.
- Plan events at headquarters for contractors and establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of the events.
- Distribute marketing content across social media channels to ensure maximum visibility among customers.
Co-Op Program
- Work with manufacturers from whom Mars Electric buys products to secure co-op marketing dollars.
- Use the co-op dollars to conduct marketing activities that you plan and execute.
- Track all co-op funds and marketing activity associated with the funds.
Digital Marketing
- Participate in a team to improve our e-commerce website and app.
- Responsible for managing the process, working with associates to develop the content, and ensuring the project stays on time and within budget.
- Assist to gain input from customers regarding features, functionality, and usability.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the website and make improvements based on results.
- Own the website when it comes to keeping it up to date, adding new content, photos, videos, etc.
- Develop content for posts and a schedule for Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Assess other social media platforms where Mars Electric does not have a presence to see where there is opportunity.
Branch Events
- Plan and execute events at 12 branches to help increase sales on those days.
- Advertise the counter days at branches, on our website, on social media, etc.
- Be part of team that identifies a product of the month to promote at the branches.
- Work with internal and external associates to develop the marketing materials to promote it and develop metrics to measure their effectiveness.
Sales Support
- Provide marketing support when a new branch is opened, or a branch moves or changes.
- Provide marketing support when the sales team identifies a new target audience to solicit or when we bring in a new product.
- Provide marketing support to every internal team’s sales effort such as the Lighting Showroom Team, Gear Team, etc.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing required.
- 2-4 years related experience.
- HubSpot Certification preferred.
- Excellent communication including written, verbal, and presentation to senior level audience.
- Strong knowledge of business processes and analytical support systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency with remaining Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Must be able to travel between locations, to vendor locations, customer sites and training facilities.
- Experience using marketing CMS and automation tools (HubSpot preferred).
- Experience working with Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
- Experience working with Google Ads, Google Shopping, and other online advertising platforms.
- Experience with SEO best practices
