Office Manager & Events Coordinator – Cleveland Institute of Art

The Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) seeks a highly organized and service-oriented Office Manager & Events Coordinator to oversee daily operations in the CIA Welcome Center and the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Enrollment Marketing. This dynamic role ensures the smooth execution of internal administrative processes, including clerical and systems support, application material preparation, budgetary paperwork management, and supervision of student workers and Admissions Ambassadors. The coordinator plays a key role in planning and executing recruitment events, managing CIA merchandise and online store operations, and maintaining a welcoming and professional front office environment. Acting as a liaison between internal departments and external offices, the coordinator contributes to the strategic goals of the Enrollment and Marketing division.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of office administration, customer service, event coordination, financial processing, and supervising student staff. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates should bring 1–2 years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a customer-facing or academic setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Compensation
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. CIA offers a benefit package including; paid time off accrual, 13 paid holidays, as well as additional time off while the college is closed during winter break. CIA offers health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 403B retirement contribution, tuition remission, free campus parking, and inter-museum council discounts.
