Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Assists in the development of treaty structure design, ensuring appropriate cost and effective coverage.
- Communicates with broker and handles direct reinsurance activity.
- Assists with setting contract wording standards. Administers reinsurance contracts and prepares reinsurance proposals.
- Monitors treaty loss activity and determines appropriate actions/notifications.
- Coordinates reinsurance audits.
- Provides technical advice to lower level positions and other functional areas.
- May lead the work of others (mentors, prioritizes, delegates, and reviews assignments).
- May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Field of Study: Business, Accounting or related discipline.
Experience: Generally, 8 to 10 years of related experience. Associate in Reinsurance Program (ARE) preferred. Requires significant knowledge of reinsurance guidelines and procedures.
