Senior Portfolio Manager – Wellspring Financial Advisors

LOCATION – Cleveland, OH

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including long-term incentive compensation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Office Portfolio Manager to join our investment team. This position offers a unique opportunity to oversee and manage complex investment portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth families, combining strategic investment expertise with high-quality client service. As a leader within the organization, you will shape investment strategies across public and private markets, provide actionable insights to clients, and contribute to the long-term preservation and growth of generational wealth. Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Research

o Develop and manage customized investment strategies for ultra-high-net-worth families.
o Conduct in-depth research and due diligence across public and private markets.
o Design, implement, and maintain model portfolios tailored to various risk profiles.
o Monitor individual client portfolios, minimizing tracking errors and ensuring alignment with models.
o Serve as an active member of the firm’s investment committee, contributing to investment strategy
discussions and presenting quarterly updates.

Private Asset Oversight

o Manage and analyze private investments, including private equity, real estate, and other alternative assets.
o Conduct due diligence on new client-requested private investment opportunities.
o Monitor and report on private asset performance, including pacing models and J-curve analyses, ensuring these investments support clients’ long-term objectives.

Client Engagement & Communication

o Serve as a trusted advisor to ultra-high-net-worth families, delivering clear, actionable insights into portfolio performance and opportunities.
o Proactively engage with clients to discuss portfolio changes, address inquiries, and strengthen relationships.
o Develop and present forward-looking deliverables and proprietary insights to enhance client understanding and engagement.
o Lead educational initiatives for next-generation family members on wealth management principles.

Trading & Execution

o Oversee firmwide rebalancing processes, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with client strategies.
o Execute ad hoc trades for individual client accounts and block trades as needed.

Team Collaboration & Contribution

o Contribute to firm initiatives, including client onboarding, process improvement, and technology enhancements.
o Develop and refine proprietary tools and resources to optimize client experience and internal efficiency.
o Oversee the investment reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of information.
o Partner with the operations team to streamline investment processes.

Qualifications

o Education & Certification: CFA, CAIA, CPA, or equivalent certification is required.
o Experience: 7+ years of experience managing portfolios exceeding $50 million, preferably within a multifamily office or wealth management environment.
