ROLE SUMMARY
• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to clients relating to individual, gift, trust, partnership, and S-corporation taxation.
• Manage workflow of tax team staff in conjunction with Tax Director.
• Prepare and review the work of other tax staff on large and complex tax engagements including calculations of estimated tax payments and tax extensions.
• Keep firm partners and client management teams informed on progress of various engagements as well as important issues discovered that need resolution.
• Research tax issues and findings that may impact clients’ federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
• Be liaison between Wellspring and third party outsourced providers.
• Participate in client proposal opportunities and new business opportunities when required.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
• CPA or EA license
• Ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant tax experience working in a CPA firm or financial services firm
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of CCH Axcess and BNA tax planning software
