THE POSITION
Hawken School, D-II NE, is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Varsity Head Girls Soccer Coach for the Fall 2023 season.Previous coaching experience is required; soccer experience at a high level is preferred. Oversight includes guiding middle school and camp programs at Hawken. Excellent facilities. Looking to continue our strong tradition for girls soccer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with boys coach, oversee all aspects of the school-wide soccer program
- All soccer operations of varsity, middle school, and camp/clinic programs
- Soccer summer camps at Hawken (additional stipend)
- Active communication with team members
- Hire and manage a team of coaches at each level (in conjunction with the Director of Athletics)
- Ambassador for Hawken soccer with internal and external communities
- Current and prospective student athletes
- Hawken soccer families
- Soccer alumni
- Hawken boosters and donors
- Collaborate with Hawken’s strength & conditioning department, Hawken’s sports medicine trainer, and SID
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience at the high school and/or college level is desired with an emphasis on experience in building programs.
- Ability to teach soccer skills and concepts at both a fundamental and high level with excitement and positivity
- Strong organizational skills in construction, execution, and management of all off-season, summer, pre-season, and in-season Hawken soccer programming
- Ability to teach, promote, and lead by example values of discipline, respect, integrity, good sportsmanship, and fair play.
