Engage! Cleveland launches new website designed to attract young, diverse talent to Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — March 30, 2022 — Engage! Cleveland is thrilled to announce the launch of a new resource website, discoverthecle.org. This interactive website will house information about living, working, and exploring Cleveland. Featured content will include information about Cleveland amenities, food and drink, childcare, entertainment, diversity resources, and more. Young professionals considering a change in scenery will discover how much further their salary will go in Cleveland with a Cost of Living Calculator. The website will also host a Neighborhood Quiz tool designed to match newcomers’ preferences, interests, and lifestyles with a suggested Cleveland neighborhood or suburb. 

This website expands on the attraction aspect of Engage! Cleveland’s mission and will offer content that is engaging, informative and entices young professionals to live and work in the Greater Cleveland area.

“With world-class amenities, a robust job market, and a low cost of living, Cleveland is the ideal market for young professionals,” said Ashley Basile Oeken, President of Engage! Cleveland. “Through this website, our goal is to connect young professionals to everything that makes Cleveland a great place to live, work and explore.”

The website builds upon a successful ‘Discover Cleveland’ digital marketing campaign which was designed to target young professionals living in larger metropolitan markets and comparable midwestern cities via social media advertising to attract them to move (back) to Greater Cleveland. The campaign launched in June 2020 and concluded in October 2021 and reached over 2.1 million individuals across the country. ‘Discover Cleveland’ was supported by various foundations and organizations alongside Engage! Cleveland. The website will also aid the newly formed Talent Alliance, a collaboration of eleven non-profit, public, and private entities which aims to identify, navigate, welcome and retain the best talent in Cleveland, with an initial focus on the fast-growing sectors of IT/technology (including financial services), healthcare and smart manufacturing.
