Engage! Cleveland launched the Mid-Career Professional Development Series to compliment our other programming with the goal of curating meaningful content and experiences for emerging leaders at every stage in their careers.
For mid-level professionals who may be considering a new job, embarking on a major transition, or looking to advance their careers, we developed a series designed specifically for professionals with up to 10 years of experience.
Series Agenda:
Lead and Be Led
Mid-career is a pivotal time to clarify your path, step into leadership, and build deeper professional relationships. In this interactive session, we’ll focus on how to advocate for yourself, engage in meaningful mentorship (as both a giver and receiver), and equip those around you to support your growth. Expect candid conversations, peer learning, and practical tools to guide your next move with confidence.

Leadership is about owning your unique style. This session invites participants to define the kind of leader they are or want to be, reflect on the impact of their title, and navigate shifting priorities with confidence.

Cross-Generational Leadership
As mid-career professionals, understanding how to manage both up and down is crucial to advancing your career and enhancing team dynamics. This session will provide strategies for building influence with senior leaders (“managing up”), developing strong relationships across generations, and leading effectively within your team (“managing down”). You’ll also learn how to foster cross-generational leadership, understand different generational work styles, and leverage those differences to create a more cohesive and successful work environment.
