What qualities do you look for in a candidate?

We seek talent that contributes to a high-performing and collaborative culture. As the top brand in our industry, we want curious innovators and inclusive leaders to help us grow and evolve. The competencies we seek vary by position or role. Some include:

    • Detail-oriented planners

Do you have an internship program?

We take great pride in our CORE program (Career Opportunities with Real Experience) for students. We have over 20 positions for interns in Marketing, Finance, Operations & IT and include Engineering Co-op rotations for Electrical and Computer Engineering.

We make sure that our interns and co-ops are working side by side with their teams and gaining valuable skills to complement their education and prepare them for their future. On average, our interns work with us for 1.5 years, building their resumes.

Do you have any internal Young Professional groups?

Moen has an employee resource group for emerging professionals. The group is accessible to anyone who craves professional development, networking, and volunteer opportunities. All are invited to attend our events; currently, over 130 employees subscribe to a dedicated mailing list and receive updates on getting involved.

Activities include work with the Cleveland Cavaliers, LinkedIn, Drink Local Drink Tap, Lorain County Neighborhood Alliance, Fidelity Investments, and numerous internal networking and learning events.

What types of employee training/development do you offer to help Young Professionals make an impact and grow?

Moen offers employees access to tools, programs, and learning platforms to develop and make an impact. In addition to manager support, we have an HR team with organizational development consultants and functional training experts to help our employees grow.

We offer cohort-style leadership development programs, an affiliate relationship with the Weatherhead Executive Education program at Case Western Reserve University, and global access to LinkedIn Learning.

Finally, we believe in the power of planning. We coach our employees on creating individual development plans that align with personal and organizational development goals.

How do you help your employees get involved in the community (i.e. volunteer program, service days, etc.)?

Moen offers many ways to get involved in the community. It starts with company-sponsored volunteer days or events. We’ve historically supported organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Drink Local Drink Tap, Nature Conservancy, College Now, Neighborhood Alliance, and more.

We also host an annual fair on Earth Day to highlight local organizations that make a difference in sustainability, conservation, and climate.
