Cleveland, Ohio – June 26, 2024 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE– Engage! Cleveland celebrated the 11th annual Cleveland Young Professionals Week June 8 to 15, 2024. The eight-day series of events aimed to help Cleveland’s early to mid-career professionals, college students, and interns explore the city’s vibrant community, network with area leaders and peers, and experience everything Cleveland has to offer.
“We were excited and proud to celebrate 11 years of Cleveland Young Professionals Week,” said Engage! Cleveland’s President, Ashley Basile Oeken. “At Engage Cleveland, it is our goal to attract, engage and retain emerging, diverse talent in Cleveland. With YP Week, we are able to live our mission and share that with our community, providing them with the opportunities and connections to hopefully fall in love with Cleveland and have them stay here.”
Engage! Cleveland’s YP Week is the largest event of its kind hosted by a nonprofit organization year over year. Most events were unique to the Cleveland area and offered an experience that highlighted the city.
This year’s Young Professionals Week boasted over 25 events, including Behind-the-Scenes tours of the Playhouse Square, Cleveland Browns Stadium and Progressive Field, the Inaugural 24 Emerging Professionals You Need To Know In 2024 Awards Ceremony and Breakfast, and professional development lunch & learns on the topics of Lessons in Leadership, Women in Leadership, and Cleveland in 2050 which included County Executive Chris Ronayne on the panel.
Engage! Cleveland’s 11th Annual Young Professionals Week engaged:
- 1,292 total attendees, with ages ranging from 21-41 + up, 54% of which were first-time attendees
- 298 different Cleveland companies and organizations
- 37 different community partners and Cleveland small businesses
“I enjoyed the diversity of professionals that were in attendance, and my biggest takeaway was to be the most authentic version of yourself wherever you are,” said a 2024 YP Week attendee.
