Your Day Itinerary in Westlake, OH!
Written by Engage! Cleveland Summer Intern: Marie Hirz who grew up in Westlake, OH!
An ideal day in my life in Westlake, how fun! I would start my day by going to a workout class at Barre3. I really enjoy their Signature 45 and Strength 45 classes. These classes combine strength, cardio, and mindfulness into every class which gives a great all-around workout. I always leave this place sweating!
After a quick shower, I would head out for breakfast at First Watch in Crocker Park. Everything here is delicious, but my top three breakfasts are the Bacado Omelette, Avocado Toast, and the A.M. Superfoods Bowl. To keep my day moving I would walk around Crocker Park. When the weather is nice, Crocker is very busy and alive. There are shops for everyone which makes it great to go to with my family.
Spending a few hours at Crocker is enough to make you hungry again, so off to lunch at AJ’s Urban Grill. I like to get their Turkey Avocado Wrap and sometimes I’ll add a side of the French Onion Soup. To get moving after lunch I would likely head to Bradley Woods and do a lap or two around the paved trails. This is a super relaxing walk, especially after eating a meal!
If I’m still in the mood to move my body, I would get a group of friends or family to meet me at the Westlake Recreation Center for a few games of pickleball! The outdoor courts are perfect to use, especially when it’s nice out! There are two dedicated pickleball courts and then a few tennis courts are converted into pickleball courts. It’s usually pretty busy, so try to get there quickly to claim a court or two!
After a very active afternoon, I would go with my group to Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Crocker Park. I initially was hesitant to try sushi, but this place changed my mind! My two favorite rolls are the Crunchy LA and the Tidal Wave. The menu is endless, so it’s fun to switch it up sometimes and try something new! I have yet to eat something I don’t like there! The atmosphere in the restaurant is also super cool and very lively.
To wrap up this very eventful day, I would head to Mitchell’s Ice Cream to indulge in some Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk ice cream!
What a fun, active, and exciting day! Thanks for joining me!
